President – India & South Asia
Radhika Shapoorjee is the President of Hill+Knowlton Strategies, India & South Asia. Her responsibilities are to market and build thought leadership in the marketplace, develop strategic businesses and acquisitions, and drive expansion into new territories within India, and in the region which includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
She is a trusted advisor on crisis, messaging, positioning and managing issues. She has created innovative campaigns linked with business outcomes for various sectors including Technology, Telecom, Media & Entertainment, Finance, Government, as well as Political Parties and Industry Associations.
Radhika has provided direction that led to the creation of innovative campaigns for various clients like Max Life Insurance, Sony Entertainment Television, The Government of Karnataka, LG, South Africa and Unilever to name a few. Radhika also does CEO media training, and conducts messaging workshops for clients across sectors.
As head of Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Radhika nurtures an organization that lives by the integrity of advice, and encourages a work culture that enables true collaboration and teamwork across specialities and offices within India and across the globe.
In addition to the years she’s spent in her current role, Radhika has around two decades of work experience that includes direct marketing and on-ground sales; a couple of years as an independent film-maker; nine years at FCB Advertising; and over four years at Genesis Burson-Marsteller, where she was Chief Innovation & Quality Officer.
Radhika is also part of the National Advisory Committee of India@75 – a CK Prahalad/CII initiative for India in 2022; she is a fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, and is in the 3rd batch of the India Leadership Initiative (ILI); she has been a regular contributor to the Businessworld Marketing Whitebook. She was the jury member for the prestigious Spikes Asia Award held in Singapore in 2011 as well as the exchange4media.
Radhika is an Honors graduate from St. Stephen’s College, and has played national level basketball, and been a competitive swimmer. Radhika is married and lives with her husband and their two school-going children, in Gurgaon.
Chief Operating Officer, India
Deepa Jayaraman is Chief Operating Officer, India. She was Business Head South since 2014 and in Mumbai prior to that as a Client Services Director heading the Corporate and Financial Services Practice. She has over 12 years of experience in marketing communication across a diverse range of companies from various industry sectors. Her role in the organisation involves strategic brand positioning, image up-scaling, new business development, stakeholder communication, influencing key opinion leaders, creating thought leadership platforms, message development, adversity management, public affairs and training for clients like Blackstone Group, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Avendus Capital, Brand South Africa amongst others.
She also managed the Vodafone Capital Gains tax issue in India, which won in the Supreme Court. Litigation PR, issues & crisis management and tackling regulatory issues are some of her strengths. She has services across many sectors including technology, telecom, BFSI, manufacturing & consulting.

Deepa joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies from Perfect Relations where she worked for 5 years, focusing on a spectrum of clients from the financial sector, FMCG and multi-diversified corporations.
She has also worked at JWT and Reputation and Perception Management Company (RNPMC) in the past. She started her communication career as a freelancer with Express group.
Deepa has accomplished her Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in Public Relations and Advertising. She is a guest lecturer on PR and Media in key colleges in Mumbai.
Managing Director (West India) and Marketing Communications India Practice Lead
Michelle has recently joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies as Managing Director (West India) and Marketing Communications India Practice Lead. Her role as the MarComm practice lead focuses on Integrated Marketing Communications based on deep-rooted insight and creativity. Additionally, she also leads the firm’s dynamic Mumbai operations across all verticals.
Michelle is an agency veteran with over 17 years of experience and a specialist in consumer and brand marketing. She has worked across sectors including Technology, Consumer, Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, FMCG, Retail, Lifestyle and Auto. Michelle provides strategic communications counsel to senior clients, advises on media engagement strategies and specialises in purpose driven campaigns, for which she has won many industry awards. Michelle has also spearheaded issues management, developed key message and brand positioning, media policies and crisis preparedness for various clients.
Michelle previously worked with Ad factors, Edelman and Burson Marsteller and holds a post graduate degree in Public relations from Xavier Institute of Communications as well as a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from Mumbai (Bombay) India. She is married with 2 children and resides with her family in Navi Mumbai.
